Update as of Feb. 5: The Huseby Family said Les is out of the intensive care unit (ICU) at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, but he is still recovering from his injuries. Les continues to do well, and is open to visitors, but please contact the hospital staff first regarding requests that he may have.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Les Huseby after a head-on car collision on Jan. 25. In a previous email, we erroneously stated JoDell was in the vehicle with Les, but she was not. She did accompany him on the Flight for Life to St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.

Trinity District Superintendent Rev. Margaret Gillikin visited Les on Jan. 27 at St. Anthony's Hospital. She said Les underwent surgery for three breaks in his right femur. At the time of her visit, there were concerns about his ankle and his spine, with scans and imaging scheduled that day. Margaret reported that the medical team believes Les will make a full recovery, but it will be a long road given that he has had prior knee surgeries.

Rev. Nancy Mead, of Alamosa United Methodist Church, stepped in to be a point of contact with the family. She reported that Les is still facing several knee surgeries, with his back condition unknown. The family is limiting hospital visits, but would like cards sent to St. Anthony's Hospital West, 11600 W. Second Place, Lakewood, CO 80228 and attn: Patient: Les Huseby. You may also send cards and expressions of care to Holly Huseby, 7525 W. Mexico Drive, Lakewood, CO 80232.

Les currently serves the Sargent/Mosca churches in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. Contributions can be sent to the Sargent Community Church, c/o Judy Peterson, Treasurer, 5070 N. County Road 2E, Monte Vista, CO 81144 or to Mosca UMC, c/o Virginia New, Treasurer, 8890 Lane 4N, Mosca, CO 81146. Please note in the memo line the purpose of your contribution.
