In light of our current political and social climate, young people of color are coming to their pastors and churches searching for answers.
“Why is all of this happening now?”
“How can I respond to this as a person of faith?”
“What does the Bible have to say about all of this?”
As a way to address some of these questions and build some cross-conference connections, all youth (Grades 6-12) of color within the Rocky Mountain Conference of The United Methodist Church (RMC) are invited to attend the 2017 Ethnic Youth Summit on March 11 sponsored by Young People’s Ministries and the Commission on Religion and Race of the RMC. This will be a time to build community between folks from across the conference and to discuss what it means to be a youth of color and a person of faith in the 21st century.
The cost of the event is $25 per youth with meals included, and there will be scholarship possibilities available for those who need support getting their youth to Denver. If you are interested in receiving financial support our would like more information about attending, please email email@example.com
