Learn to Help Someone: Mental Health First Aid
Substance abuse and mental illnesses touch many of us through our families, friends, or neighbors. You may want to be able to help someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis, but don't know how. Mental Health First Aid is a national program that provides participants with the tools and confidence to be of help to someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Join us for a free seminar provided by professionals at Jefferson Center for Mental Health and learn: Signs of addictions and mental health problems; 5-step action plan to assess a situation and help; impact of mental health and substance use disorders; and local resources and where to turn for help.
