Blue? Yes, blue, as in the blues. As in "I am feeling blue." Not everyone is up and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations make parties and joviality painful for many people in our congregations and communities. We are attentive to the needs of people who are blue at Christmas.
Brentwood UMC will have a Blue Christmas/Longest Night of the Year service on Thursday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room. This service is specifically for people who are mourning, or have other reasons for not feeling particularly joyful at Christmas. It will be a small, quiet, and truly meaningful time. Please attend and/or invite someone who is hurting to attend. Brentwood is located at 1899 S. Irving St. Denver, CO
