Mountain Sky Area Bishop Karen Oliveto, along with Denver Homeless Out Loud and Colorado Representative Joseph Salazar, will be honored at Interfaith Alliance of Colorado's first Force for Good Awards to be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Redline Gallery, 2350 Arapahoe St., in Denver.

The Interfaith Alliance of Colorado is a nonprofit that was founded in 1998 by a group of clergy and laity who wanted a way to put their faith into action. Its mission is to bring together "people of different faiths to drive equality, human rights, and opportunity."

The Force for Good Awards celebrates "those who are 'a force for good' in three categories, Congregation, Community and State Legislature." Tickets for the reception are $25 and will benefit Interfaith Alliance of Colorado's advocacy work. Learn more about the Force for Good Awards and buy tickets online.

Additionally, after 19 years of being housed at Cameron United Methodist Church in Denver, the Interfaith Alliance of Colorado has moved to a new space across from the Colorado State Capitol. It is now at First Baptist Church in Denver, 1373 Grant St., Denver, CO. 80203. The phone number is the same: 303-733-4089.
