Attendees will learn the purpose of Urban Rural Ministries and how to be about transforming the world rather than the world transforming us.  United Methodists are the people we’ve been waiting for!  Speakers will be Judy Hill, Rev. Don Ford and Rev. Kristie Firme.

Following the pilgrimage to the site of the Sand Creek Massacre we will conclude the day with an all-conference community dinner.  We will continue the theme of Healing Relationships as we share this meal with the descendants and other guests.

Anita Phillips, co-author and editor of "On This Spirit Walk" (one of the UMW Reading Program books) will be the speaker at this breakfast. Anita is a Cherokee from Park Hill, Oklahoma and serves as the Executive Director of the Native American Comprehensive Plan of The United Methodist Church. She has forty years of experience working with Native American children and families as both a social worker and minister.
