Delegation Dinner Invitation
The Rocky Mountain Conference Delegation to the General Conference
in Fort Worth, Texas (April 23-May 2) hosted a dinner gathering
of delegates, visitors, and friends of the Rocky Mountain Conference
on FRIDAY, APRIL 25, at Daddy Jack's Lobster and Chowder
House in downtown Fort Worth, an eight-block walk from the Convention
Center.
An estimated 100 persons, delegates, staff, volunteers, visitors, and
friends of the Rocky Mountain Conference,
attended and shared tabletalk, introductions,
and news.
Interview: Young people address to blend multimedia, movement and voices;
will inspire call to action and interaction
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 9, 2008 /GBOD/ --When six young people take the
stage April 24 [at 11:35 a.m. CDT] at the 2008 United Methodist General
Conference, it will be the first time in the history of the denomination
that
young people
have been added to the agenda to address the top legislative body
of the denomination. Read the full interview.
Two Rocky Mountain young people are part of the six who will be delivering
the address: Andrew Craig, from Park Hill, and Annie Rigo Arnoldy,
associate pastor at First UMC, Grand Junction. Michael Ratliff, also a
clergy member of RMC, is top executive with GBOD’s Young People’s
Ministries (Division on Ministries with Young People) and is also
quoted in the news release.
