Happy New Year! Those of you who are long-time Wyoming youth workers hopefully felt a void this past fall with the absence of WAYE. We are thrilled to announce that WAYE will take place during the 2007-08 school year! It is scheduled for March 29th and 30th (the weekend after Easter). We hope you will put this on your youth group's calendar right away and plan to attend!!

WHAT is WAYE? WAYE has been the Wyoming Annual Youth Event for many years. Currently, it is in the process of becoming the Wyoming Area Youth Experience. It will continue to serve as a place of unification for United Methodist youth of Wyoming who are divided into the Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain Annual Conferences. In the future, WAYE will have an expanded purpose that reaches beyond Wyoming's borders to include youth from Montana and Northern Colorado… and perhaps South Dakota as well! Ultimately, WAYE's purpose is to nurture youth as disciples of Jesus Christ, encourage their spiritual growth and equip youth for an enduring walk with the Lord. We're excited about the possibilities before us to inspire more youth and their leaders. Beginning in 2009, WAYE will be recognized as an official District event, which means that it will be receiving conference support… a new and beneficial thing!

WAYE 2008, Extreme Makeover: WAYE Edition will be exactly what the title implies… an opportunity for all of us together to envision what a youth event could and should become. From large group speakers to small group experiences to fun and fellowship… our time will be focused on the transforming power of Jesus Christ… for our lives personally, for our youth groups and churches, and for WAYE. We hope that you will join us!

WHEN is WAYE? Saturday, March 29th at 9 am - Sunday, March 30th at noon

WHERE is WAYE? Holiday Inn on the River in Casper, WY Churches that prefer to travel on Friday and need a free place to stay overnight are welcome to contact First UMC Casper about sleeping in their youth center.

COST of WAYE? Registration this year will be $95 per person.

HOW to REGISTER? Registration packets will be sent out in February.
