The Vision of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church is to manifest the love and reign of God through vital worship, spiritual formation, and evangelism and to transform the society through social outreach and justice ministries.

Conference Mission

The Mission of the Rocky Mountain Conference of The United Methodist Church is to participate in growing and sustaining local churches and spiritual communities as they attempt to fulfill their calling as Christians and United Methodists in the world.

The Process for carrying out our mission includes but is not limited to:

  • Support spiritual communities by pledging our prayers, our gifts, and our services;
  • Connect local churches in stimulating and realizing growth, spiritually and numerically;
  • Celebrate significance of each individual by treasuring the diversity that exists among us;
  • Provide outstanding lay and clergy leaders through training, resources and support;
  • Participate through ministries of witness, education, and worship;
  • Connect local churches with the Mission of The United Methodist Church;
  • Support the creation of New faith communities and local churches within the Rocky Mountain area; and
  • Carry out these tasks in a spirit of trust among its members and leadership groups.

New Ministries 12-12-12 Plan

The Rocky Mountain Conference New Ministries Team introduced a special petition at the 2004 Rocky Mountain Conference session that outlined the vision of establishing 36 new ministries over the next 8 years.
