Grant Criteria
MISSION:
To provide seed money or initial funding for leadership training events planned
by churches or church leaders of the Rocky Mountain Conference networking
together and planned to include a wide participation from the conference
or a district at large.
GRANT POLICY
Limits:
Seed Money Loan: $2,000.00 Maximum
This amount will be provided to a qualifying network to give initial seed money
to allow the advance planning and publicity of an event. It is assumed that
the money will be returned by income from the event, usually from registration
fees. The Seed money will be returned to the the Conference to be used by other
groups requesting grants.
Program Grant: $1,000.00 Maximum
Amounts up to $1000 will be provided as a one time program grant to allow for
the planning and production of an event. It is assumed that there will
not
be an income
or profit from the event retained by the requestor.
Network
Qualifications:
A qualifying "Network" must be at least two or more churches,
conference groups or districts of the Rocky Mountain Conference.
Program Purpose:
Grants will be given to Qualifying networks for the purpose of providing Leadership
Training or Development events that will increase the knowledge, skill
or competency level of local church leaders toward accomplishment of their
mission.
Application
Process:
Qualifying Networks will complete a Request
for Networking Ministry Grants form (HTML - RTF) and return it to Herb
Bowman, Networking Ministries Coordinator. A financial plan will also be required
as
a part of
the grant request. The coordinator must receive
event applications no later than 60 days prior to opening day of event. Applications received in less than 60 days prior
to the event may be rejected. The coordinator will review qualifying applications
and respond to the applicant.
