Petitions
Petition Deadline:
By action of the 1997 Annual Conference, all petitions, from districts,
sub-districts, individuals, and groups, at both the local church
and conference level must be received by the Petitions
Coordinator by March 10, 2008. All Petitions must
be submitted via electronic
format. A back up hard copy or disk is always welcome. Form

Room Reservations
Reservations may now be made with the Marriott DTC: here are
the steps:
- Go to this
web address

- Choose the dates you wish to stay (AC is Wednesday, June 18 -
Saturday, June 21).
- Put this code in the "Group Code" field: umcumca
- Click/select the "Find" button
- Confirm the rate and click/select the "Reserve a Room" button
- Follow the remaining prompts to provide credit card info and
complete the reservation.

Conference Lay Leader Election Process
By conference rule the election of the Conference Lay Leader will
take place at the Laity Session of the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference
the same year as General Conference. The application form is published
on the Conference web site and the Board
of Lay Ministry web site.

Completed applications will be included in the pre-conference mailing
for Annual Conference so they are due March 10, 2008. Time will be
allowed for those who have completed the Board of Lay Ministry-approved
application form to address the laity session and the vote will then
take place. No nominations will be accepted from the floor.
The conference lay leader term is four years with re-election possible
for another four- year term for a total not to exceed 8 years.

the 2004 Errata to the Book of Discipline and
the Board of Lay Ministry web site.

A candidate shall be a member of a local United Methodist
Church for 2 years and active in the Rocky Mountain Conference
for the
previous four years.

Display Space Notes
The registration Application for Annual Conference Display space
deadline is April 20, at the time we will review all applications
, and using the criteria stated in the Conference Display Area policy
(found on our Conference Website) and the space limits we will either
approve or return applications .
At that time we will invoice the approved tables for the amount
due payable by June 1st.
We need a completed application from any group interested in a table,
the applications are the tool we will use to determine the allocation
of space along with the priority listed in the policy.
Please note there are a limited number of display spaces available.
