Legislative Results:

As mentioned in the notes from the plenary sessions, the consent calendars A and B passed nearly unanimously.

Remember that the daily proceedings to be published in the Journal are the official record of Conference action, but according to my notes, recordings and understandings, this is what the Conference did. Sometime in July the final wording including any amendments will be available on the web (under the AC07 web page).

The following were adopted without amendment:
AC03 - Conference Wider Missions
AC04 - Miscellaneous Council on Finance & Administration Policies and Procedures
AC06 - Minimum and Equitable Compensation
AC08 - Funding for Active Clergy Benefits
AC10 - Health as Wholeness in Mission Initiative
AC13 - Support for the ONE Campaign
AC15 - Older Adult Ministry for District Structures
AC17 - Access for Persons with Disabilities
AC18 - Global HIV/AIDS

The following were amended and adopted:
AC01 - Health Insurance Programs and Funding
AC02 - District Superintendent Compensation
AC07 - Clergy Pension Plans Funding
AC09 - Retiree Benefits Programs & Funding
AC12 - Support for Victim's Assistance Ministry
AC14 - Conference Director of Older Adult Ministry

The following were not adopted:
AC05 - Ceiling for Wider Mission Formulae Distribution to Local CHurches
AC21 - Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice

The following were referred:
AC11 - Coordinator for Social Justice Ministries, to Board of Stewards
AC16 - Establishment of Conference Archivist, back to the Commission on Archives and History and the historical society.

Petitions to General Conference
The following were adopted without amendment:
GC51 - Connectional Model for Peacemaking
GC53 - Prohibiting Discrimination in Receiving Members - Discipline
GC54 - Prohibiting Discrimination in Receiving Members - Constitution
GC70 - Number of Jurisdictional Delegates

The following were amended and adoped:
GC55 - Government Failure to Fulfill Terms of Treaties with Native American Tribes in The USA
GC61 - Pastoral Compensation
GC71 - Jurisdictional Membership

GC52 Global AIDS Fund was withdrawn and GC52A substituted: United Methodist Global AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Fund. The substituted petition was adoped without amendment.

The following petitions were not adopted:
GC50 - Insertion of "The Common Good" Language
GC60 - Appointment-Making Responsibility

The final wording including amendments will be on the web next month and in the Conference Journal to be published next fall.
