Stewardship and Giving
Residency in Ministry
2006 Winter Seminar
For probationary
members of the Rocky Mountain Annual Conference of The United
Methodist Church
February 6-7, 2006
Franciscan Retreat Center
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Keynote Speaker Rev. Tom English - Stewardship Specialist, Campaign
Consultant.
Tom has been a United Methodist Pastor for 46 years. He served
churches in all three states of this conference. They ranged in
size from 100 members(a new church start. Membership was 550 after
6 years). The churches ranged in size from this to 1,400 members.
He has a successful record in growing joyful givers and funding
ministries in those churches.
Tom says, “I believe money talk is 'Holy Talk!' When
people are encouraged to give as a spiritual discipline for their
own spiritual health and growth, giving becomes an important part
of their journey of faith. Encouraging people to give is an honorable
responsibility of congregational leaders. The pastor is the key
person in growing joyful givers and funding ministry. GIVING IS
THE KEY TO LIVING.”
