Monday, August 7, 11:00 a.m. through Tuesday, August 8, at noon.
Worship and Retreat Leaders
Jane Riecke, pastor at Northglenn UMC, with Brian
Riecke her spouse (and Conference Director of Youth, Young Adults
and New Media) leading worship. Topics include ethics, boundaries, "church
as a business," skills for running an office.
The retreat has been planned by Sandi Johnson, Ann McClellan,

The August seminar is a two-day event and will begin
Monday, August 7 at 11 a.m. and end Tuesday, August 8
at 12:00 noon at the St.
Malo Retreat
Center in Allenspark, Colorado.
Do you ever think of Administration as ministry? If you think
about it, recruiting members for committees can be a ministry as
you seek to connect people with positions which can utilize their
passion and skills--and maybe even help them discover a new sense
of stewardship of the gifts they've been given. How about finances?
Maybe this can be another way to help folks focus on stewardship
of gifts, and even connect it to the work of the ministries of
the church--from local to denomination to the world! Did you ever
think that meetings could be ministry? If done with a sense of
the holy time groups can have together as they decide issues relating
to the health and ministries of a church (or other ministry setting),
they can be times of reconciliation, greater fellowship and deepening
faith. Come and consider administration as ministry at this RIM
event!
Your registration fee is dependent
on your choice of room (single or double occupancy) and includes
meals, lodging and mileage to and from St. Malo Religious Retreat
and Conference Center.
The Board of Ordained Ministry is paying the balance of the
costs needed to provide this quality program.
