Welcome to this new location for the laity web site. Our goal is to make this an easily accessible space where lay leadership opportunities and events will be shared throughout the conference. Please send suggestions as we grow our site.

Bishop Elaine Stanovsky has moved to the Episcopal residence and is serving the Denver area Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone Conferences. I was fortunate to meet with her September 2 her first day at the office. She is committed to a very strenuous schedule through December as she gets to know all of us. The Conference Board of Lay Ministry meets Saturday September 27. At this fall gathering we will evaluate 2008 Annual Conference and begin plans for 2009 Annual Conference in Grand Junction. We will welcome new members and new ideas to the table and renew friendship with continuing members. The Hispanic/ Latino ministry coordinator will share the program that is developing in the Metro District. We will receive a report from the Task Force on our working relationship with Iliff Seminary and also exploring the connection of the Certified Lay Minister program with the Board of Lay Ministry.

As we begin a new quadrennium we know God will be with us as we are the church in all we do.
